In an effort to improve the health and safety of the work environment, PT. Maju Bersama Karib continues to carry out various additional programs and cooperation with stakeholders. One of them is fire fighting training for all departments, however fire events can be categorized as catastrophic accidents. Because, fires can cause explosions that can make very large losses (Kurniawati et al, 2018). Therefore, extinguishing fire training aims to provide insight and physical readiness for all employees:

Extinguishing fire training with APAR indoors with sources from the PMK Pasuruan. With the aim of providing a detailed understanding before jumping into the field.
First aid training carried out indoors with the company’s doctors, materials and practices provided are the basics of handling first aid.
Evacuation training was conducted indoors with resource persons from the head PMK of Pasuruan. The material provided is about the evacuation process, evacuation signs, and the division of teams that handle evacuation

The benefit of Extinguishing fire training in K3

After carrying out the material in the room, continue by practicing the material that has been given. Participants from each Department’s representatives and shifts are divided into several teams with their respective tasks. The training storyline is a fire in one of the Departments that must be extinguished with APAR. The fire department has the main task of putting out the fire. Evacuation teams conduct and coordinate the evacuation of employees. First aid teams evacuated the injured and provided treatment until medical teams from the hospital arrived. Participants are expected to have the knowledge and ability to understand the concept of fire.
Participants are able to identify the sources of fire hazards.
Participants understand the types of fire extinguishers and their applications.
Participants are able to develop an emergency response management system and fire prevention management.
